What is hospice? Hospice is a specialized type of care designed to provide support to those facing a life-limiting illness, their families and their caregivers. Hospice care addressed the patient's physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The goal is to raise the patient's quality of life in a humane and compassionate way so they may live each day pain-free, with as much comfort and dignity as possible. Grace Hospice: We are a locally owned community of dedicated professionals committed to providing an all-encompassing approach to end of life care. The hospice team supports patients and their families through the work of physicians, nurses, nurse aided, social workers, chaplains, bereavement specialists and volunteers. We serve a radius of 50 miles from our Tulsa office and need volunteers in all surrounding communities. The Volunteer Program Because everyone has unique talents and skills, volunteer tasks are assigned based on what you enjoy doing. Most volunteer opportunities are flexible in time. Volunteer training and educational volunteer in-services are being provided by Grace Hospice throughout the year.
