In-person: SHFB in house/warehouse

Tuesday, November 17th, 2020 from 2:30pm to 4:30pm (ET)
This has ended. If you attended, let the organizer know by recording your Impact!

About

We will have limited volunteer opportunities in the warehouse/office at this time.

Each 2 hour shift we would like to have approximately 10 volunteers and unlike previous years-you will have to be registered in order to volunteer. There is a wait list*, so be sure to sign up for that when you register, if interested.

  • In house/warehouse volunteers will need to register via GivePulse or by contacting karrowood@curehunger.org.
  • Volunteers will need to arrive by 2:30 p.m. and be wearing a mask before you enter; enter through door under awning (see map) then make an immediate right into the office. You will then have your temperature taken, be asked screening questions, be given several pairs of gloves and sign in. Volunteers will need to wear gloves the entire time and change them frequently.
  • We ask that if you have any concerns about exposure or your health that you simply not come in. Thousands of people are relying on us to make sure they have access to resources. Please do not put us at risk.
  • Once you are signed in, you will be asked to go to the volunteer waiting area
  • Each volunteer will be given an assigned area that they will be volunteering in and a list of tasks. You will receive instruction and the supplies to complete the tasks.
  • At 4:00 p.m. you will need to wrap up the task you are working on and sanitize your area
  • All volunteers will need to sign out at 4:30 p.m.

*Any cancellation will need to be done 24 hours in advance (unless ill, then you are welcome to call us and let us know)

Parking Details
When you pull into the lot, go in-between the two industrial buildings. Continue to drive down the "ally" until you come into another parking area. Keep going. Our "Front" door is all the way in the back. There is a flag pole and a purple/maroon awning.
