The GWA Community Kitchen is an ongoing program providing locally made food using locally grown ingredients to communities in need.
Good Work Austin (GWA) is creating a supportive environment for local employers who want to do the right thing for their workers, the economy, and the environment. We’ve established a restaurant re-opening agreement to help guests “Dine With Confidence.” We provide small businesses with access to low-cost health care and counseling options for their staff and a community of business owners to share resources and support.
Currently our GWA Community Kitchen Program is averaging almost 25,000 meals per week. These meals are procured with care by our partner restaurants then distributed through our local city partners. This program is responding to Austin's unprecedented need for food accessibility and continuous work to allow for our Austin based business to survive and evolve. This program is city, grant & member supported.
Your donation expands our capacity to produce meals. In the past 6 months, GWA has produced over 300k meals and procured 5 contracts.
Our long term goal is to revolutionize the way Austin feeds its most insecure populations. Healthy, nutritious, locally sourced. Good for the restaurant, the city, the farm and the client.
