Hello RowdyCorps! This is an event that will be offered as a replacement for a reflection session or an additional session if you attend. Details for the event and a link to register will be provided below. Upon completion of reflection on this event add 1 hour for attending and 1 hour for reflection to your timesheet. Please remember you MUST complete the post-reflection impact. Thank you!

Join us for the virtual 34th Tribute to Mayors honoring the first Latina Mayor of Tucson, Regina Romero,  with the Antonio Villaraigosa Leadership Award!  The program will feature a Latina leaders panel with Mayor Regina Romero and UnidosUS President and CEO Janet Murguía moderated by award-winning journalist Maria Elena Salinas. Program participants also include Latino Leaders Network Chairman Mickey Ibarra, U.S. Conference of Mayors Second Vice President Mayor Francis Suarez, Hon. Antonio Villaraigosa. The event will stream on Facebook Live, YouTube, and Periscope. 

The Tribute to Mayor convenes elected officials, corporate executives, community leaders, industry experts, and political insiders from across the country to honor a mayor who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to bringing diverse communities together.

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
  1. Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.

  2. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
