Monday, February 22nd, 2021 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm (ET)

About

Health and healthcare are increasingly complex, often requiring creative and innovative solutions to problems encountered by clinicians, patients, and educators. Dr. Jacqui McLaughlin will review various ways in which design thinking has been applied within healthcare, describe how design mindsets might help address current health challenges, and posit strategies we can use to promote the development of critical problem solving skills in our trainees. She will also share lessons-learned from her research and curriculum design efforts within the health professions.

Jacqui McLaughlin is an Associate Professor and Director of CIPhER (Center for Innovative Pharmacy Education and Research) at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy.
