Spring 2021 Virtual Service Day

UNLV Service Day is held once a semester and invites students, staff, and faculty to come together and volunteer at local nonprofit organizations. 

Due to COVID-19, Spring 2021 Service Day is going virtual. By registering, you commit to completing 3 hours of service with a non-profit organization during the first week of March. To participate and receive your free t-shirt, you must complete the following: 1) register for this event, and 2) once you complete your service, submit your impact with your brief description of your service.   Both of these done here on GivePulse. 

Where can I volunteer?
Once you register for Service Day, you will receive a confirmation email with a list of available volunteer opportunities with local and national organizations. 

To help raise awareness on the importance of volunteering during these critical times, once you complete your service, share a post and tag the Office of Service-Learning (@UNLVSLL), and invite peers and colleagues to join us for Spring 2021 Virtual Service Day.   

Free t-shirt guaranteed for all who sign up by Sunday, February 28th. Anyone who registers after 02/28/2020 may receive a t-shirt based on availability.

Why is Spring 2021 Service Day virtual? UNLV issued its Guidance Regarding Internships and Experiential Learning Opportunities During the COVID-19 Pandemic, where “UNLV encourages virtual experiential learning opportunities whenever possible during this national emergency”. Per this guidance, and out of safety and concern for all participants, the Office of Service-Learning and Leadership decided to host Fall 2020 Virtual Service Day.
