About

Celebrate Earth Day 2021 by Plogging

Sponsored by Outdoor Pursuits, Columbus Running Company, and Asics.

We promote responsible enjoyment of the outdoors and environmental stewardship right here in central Ohio. We are making it our business to help keep litter and plastics off our streets, parks and trails.

Plogging is a combination of jogging (or walking) and picking up litter. The sport began in Europe and large scale plogs are now being held across the U.K. Not only does it bring different people together in a common cause, it cleans up the area ridding it of the scourge of litter. It benefits your health, the environment, and the community.

Route:  A pre-planned 2-3 mile route along heavily litter streets. The positive impact will be immediate for the neighborhoods. Route will be available on RidewithGPS or on a paper map.  Walkers and joggers welcome.

Plog-olution for more information on the movement.

Thank You Gift:  All partcipants will receive a $10 gift card to the Columbus Running Company!

Supplies Provided: Trash bags & litter grabbers provided.

What You Bring: Gloves (if you like), water or beverage, face mask.

Cancellation: If unsafe weather is occurring or imminent (thunderstorms, lightning, torrential rain, high wind) the event will be cancelled.
