Islanders, it’s almost time to roll up our sleeves and help out our local communities with BIG Event: Alumni Day of Service!
BIG EVENT is a one-day event that gives our Alumni and current students an opportunity to connect with and give back to their specific communities. You may have participated as a student in BIG EVENT before. Beginning in 2021, the Islander Alumni Association is partnering with Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi to expand the reach of our Islanders across the state.
Islanders around Texas will be picking up litter at beaches and parks, assisting at COVID-19 vaccination sites and volunteering at local food banks. Volunteer sites will be available in Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio.
Join us as we team up with the team at Visit Corpus Christi as we clean up litter at J.P. Luby Beach, one of Corpus Christi’s most popular destinations for both locals and visitors.
