This opportunity requires a commitment to a child who has been abandoned, abused or marginalized.  Can you make a commitment of 2-3 hours a week for the entire year?

If so, this will be the most life-changing, rewarding experience you will ever have.

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:

    1. Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.

    2. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.

Did you answer "no" to the COVID risk questions?  GREAT!  Then ask yourself,

    1. Are you available on a consistent basis to help these kids?  You will be serving as a MENTOR.  That means they will look up to you and try to be like you.  Consistency is crucial.
    2. Can you be outside in a barn setting?
    3. Do you have patience and the desire to help kids struggling with living in today's world?
    4. Will you commit to wearing jeans or leggings, along with our AWSOME TROT MENTOR T-SHIRT and sturdy shoes?

    Parking Details
When you arrive at TROT, open the green gate, pull just inside, and get out to close the gate IMMEDATELY before parking. There are animals roaming and we don't want them to get in the road. Then find a place to park facing the road under the cedar trees and go to the barn.
