About the Organization:
The individuals and families that come to Front Steps find themselves in a range of circumstances. Some have recently lost their home, job, or health insurance. Others have been living on the streets for years and are at various stages of having their needs addressed. Some are dealing with health issues, mental illness, substance abuse, or emotional crisis, in addition to their income and housing needs. Regardless of their circumstances, those who visit the Austin Resource Center for the Homeless (ARCH) and the Central Texas Recuperative Care Project are in the midst of the most difficult time of their lives. Front Steps' programs are designed to address a spectrum of immediate and long-term needs, providing services ranging from emergency shelter and basic needs to case management and permanent housing. Ultimately, Front Steps strives to treat each person who utilizes our services with dignity and respect and to restore their hope for their future.

Before the project, please join us for a Community Gathering and Mitzvah Day Kickoff at 8:30-9:30 AM in the JCC Community Hall. You can bring items for any of the collection drives to the JCC at this time.
