Grow Hydroponic Greens for the Hungry

Thursday, July 22nd from 10:00am to Monday, November 1st, 2021 2:00pm

About

In addition to the produce we grow at Madison & Terry, the Cathedral Kitchen Garden also grows hydroponic greens to supplement the kitchen's needs. We are seeking volunteers with hydroponic experience or who have the willingness to learn a new skill. We currently operate the Sunny Pro XL from VH Hydroponics. Join us in growing fresh, organic produce for our hungry friends and neighbors.

Project Plan

Like everything in gardening, our cabinet has a lifecycle. After a three month rotation of crops, the cabinet is sanitized before we start all over again. Help us get out cabinet up and running again. Assist with clean out, ensure water flows without leaks, balance PH on our rockwool starts and plant seeds to get us growing.
Swing by the Pastoral Outreach Center to check up on the cabinet. Ensure everything appears to be in working order, fix and/or report any issues. Harvest any greens that are ready and deliver them to the Cathedral Kitchen.

Be a part of a crew to dismantle and sanitize our hydroponic system for future set-up.
