Pollinator Garden at Kidsburg

Open Opportunity

About

James City County has partnered with local volunteers to plant a Pollinator Garden at Kidsburg in Veterans Park. Currently the Garden is being watered by Park & Rec staff, but on-going weeding is needed. We suggest bringing: drinking water 💧, snacks 🍫, sun 🌞 protection (hat, glasses, sunscreen), gardening gloves 🧤, gardening tools ⛏, and trash bag 👝 for weed removal. Please watch this Weeding Video to learn how to identify which plants to weed from the garden.

There will also be future planting opportunities to add more pollinator friendly native plants.👨‍🌾🦋🐝

Please follow CDC guidelines, either wearing a mask or maintaining 6 feet distance from other volunteers.
