We are looking for volunteers to answer calls from the Summer Fan Drive Hotline during the hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday - Friday, assisting clients in need of fans and the general public requesting information about the Fan Drive. Volunteers will also assist with processing on-site fan recipient requests, which includes, determining eligibility, accepting or denying fan requests and distributing fans. You will be required to interface with clients.
•Any and all shifts available to fit volunteer schedule. We ask that volunteers commit to at least two hours for any given shift (e.g. 9am to 11am; 12pm to 2pm) and at least 4 to 6 shifts throughout the Fan Drive (May - August).
•Additional duties: Volunteers (who are physically able) may be asked to assist with retrieving fans from our on-site warehouse and assisting fan recipients with loading fans into their vehicles.
•Needed skills: Sensitivity to people and their problems; comfort working with and interacting with diverse populations, including people with disabilities; professional phone skills.
