Seattle Housing has five technology centers located in different SHA-owned public housing properties. The labs are managed by SHA’s digital equity coordinator, and we are looking to recruit computer lab technicians to help maintain the computer lab at Westwood Heights in West Seattle.

Computer lab technicians will be responsible for the maintenance of computer labs. They will assist lab users and volunteer monitors with computer-related issues. They will also develop lab templates, offer access to reference manuals; clean and maintain computer systems and their ancillary parts. Additionally, they must be able to diagnose and repair hardware/software issues. The ideal candidate will be able to build a computer network system.

Skills needed to be a lab technician include knowledge of PC and/or Mac operating systems, basic knowledge of Microsoft office applications. They must also know how to operate computer-related equipment such as monitors, printers, speakers, scanners, and wifi devices.  IT experience preferred. Experience working remotely on computers is a plus.
