Join Keep San Antonio Beautiful, in partnership with the city of San Antonio Parks and Recreation, in helping pickup litter at Olmos Basin Park along the banks of Olmos Creek. 

After a heavy rainfall, Olmos Basin Park does experience flooding therefore collects quite a bit of trash and debris in the creek.  

Here's a great chance to explore another beautiful park and make a difference in helping keep our communities clean and free of trash and litter.

In light of the current COVID pandemic we have worked with our partners at Keep Texas Beautiful to implement the following procedures.

Registration will be limited to 40 volunteers, so please only register if you are certain you can participate.  If something changes between registration and the event, please let us know so we can open that spot back up. 
  • Volunteers are REQUIRED to register in GivePulse
  • Tools will be assigned to individual volunteers and will not be shared
  • Tools will be sanitized after every project and stored separately for at least 72 hours
  • Masks and facial coverings will be required.  If you are uncomfortable wearing a masks, please re-join us another time when masks are not required.  
  • The following people should all remain home and cancel registration if applicable:
    • Immunocompromised or at-risk individuals
    • Anyone who has been exposed to someone that tested positive
    • Anyone who is following direct recommendation from their health-care provider to self-quarantine

Requirement Details
Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
  1. Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.

  2. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
Perks
KSAB will provide gloves, trash pickers, trash bags, sunscreen, bug spray, hand sanitizer, water and snacks.
Parking Details
There is plenty of parking at the park. Check-in at the rock community building. We will have a safety briefing and group picture before we begin the cleanup.
