That chill air is coming and we can only spend so many hours next to patio heat lamps, so let’s keep warm on a hike. Join DC EcoWomen on Saturday, November 20th at 10am for an easy hike at Theodore Roosevelt Island.
This is the first in a series of social hikes that DC EcoWomen is hosting this year. We’re looking forward to seeing old friends and getting to know new ones. Attend one or attend all, but please register for each separately – registration links will become available throughout the year for the later hikes in the series. Additional hikes will be held on:
- Saturday, January 15, 2022, 10am – Rock Creek Park
- Saturday, March 12, 2022, 10am – Kingman and Heritage Islands
- Saturday, May 14, 2022, 10am – National Arboretum
- Saturday, July 16, 2022, 10am – Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens
This event is open to all who identify as women and their friends and families.
We’ll meet at the bridge to the island, on the mainland side. Please see the following National Park Services pages for directions to the island (https://www.nps.gov/this/planyourvisit/directions.htm) and accessibility information (https://www.nps.gov/this/planyourvisit/accessibility.htm).
Please note: This event will be held outdoors. To ensure the safety and health of the DC EcoWomen community and those we encounter during events, we ask that all participants practice social distancing during outdoor events. Please refer to the DC and National Park Service guidelines and requirements.
In addition, if you have been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with or tested positive for COVID-19 in the 14 days preceding the event and/or if you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19, you should not attend the event.
