About

Dear R.O.C.K.ateers,

Welcome to R.O.C.K., Ride On Center for Kids! We have many opportunities to volunteer within our organization. A list of opportunities can be found on our website:

http://www.rockride.org/files/9412/9979/0968/Volunteer_Opportunities_at_R.O.C.K.pdf

The first step is to attend New R.O.C.K.ateer Orientation.

After you attend New R.O.C.K.ateer Orientation, you are able to attend R.O.C.K.ateer Side Walker Training and Horse Prep Training the very same day.

For those interested in specialized Volunteer Opportunities outside of the Arena, please email Clarissa (clarissa@rockride.org) with those requests.

R.O.C.K.ateer Sidewalker Training:

Sidewalkers are volunteers devoted to the client and walk or trot by the side of the horse, next to the client. • Different clients need different amounts of support (some need your hands for balance or help, others need your voices for help, each client has different needs and your instructor or therapist will help you learn how to help the clients). In order to volunteer as a Sidewalker, you need to participate in R.O.C.K.ateer Sidewalker Training.

R.O.C.K.ateer Horse Prep Training:

Horse Prep 102 is a course open to all R.O.C.K.ateers who have attended orientation. It takes an amazing team to make sessions happen for classes, and we greatly appreciate everyone’s help in these tasks!
