Disability Mentoring Day (DMD) is a one day event that provides career exploration for high school and college students with disabilities. Students from local high schools and colleges job shadow with employers in careers that interest them. We have six students, from Austin Community College and Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, who are interested in careers in gaming and animation. I think their understanding of how these interests translate into work is not well-developed (which is true for most high school seniors, no doubt!). We are looking for someone who could give these students a tour Junction Point, introduce them to various staff and give an overview of work opportunities in your field. A job coach (or coaches) will accompany the students.
Requirements
Willing to work with kids that have a strong interest in gaming, 2D and 3D animation.
