About
Books for Keeps is back again in Elberton giving nearly 8,000 books to almost 700 students at Elbert County elementary School! We'd love for you to be part of spreading the joy of reading by signing up to help students find 12 brand new, free books to take home forever.

Requirement Details
When planning for your shift, please consider the following:
- Parking at schools is limited so please account for the time it may take to secure parking and walk into the building.
- Before reporting to the media center, volunteers must sign in at the front office.
- It is crucial that volunteers plan to stay for their entire shift.
- BFK staff will provide a brief orientation during the first 10 minutes of each shift.
- You will be on your feet for most of the time, please wear comfortable shoes!
- Until COVID vaccines are available children ages birth to five, please plan to wear a mask while volunteering unless told otherwise by BFK staff.
