About
The Asian American Resource Center's (AARC) Senior Program invites community members to help and connect with older Limited English Proficiency (LEP) seniors through volunteering at our "English Corner"!
Volunteers assist LEP seniors with practicing English by engaging in freeform conversation sessions, reading illustrated books together, or answering questions that senior participants may bring.
UPDATE: Shifts are now divided into "first time" and "returning" for our tracking purposes. Returning volunteers must complete a City of Austin CBI due to proximity to vulnerable populations. We will follow up with instructions after the first session.
