Wheels of Hope Volunteer Driver Opportunity - Athens, GA

Open Timeslots

Being a volunteer driver is an excellent opportunity to learn more about your community by connecting to the people within it. Volunteer drivers bring Wheels of Hope clients wherever they want to go within our service area. Our service provides door through door service.

Volunteer drivers will use their own vehicles to pick up clients, keep them company throughout their appointments, assist them with simple errands, and even attend social events.

Wheels of Hope was formed to improve the wellbeing of our ACC residents and neighbors in surrounding counties who lack mobility by providing transportation no matter the age of the client while also relieving the isolation this portion of the population experiences on a daily basis.

All of our volunteers possess a wonderful servant's heart. They realize it's not just a ride but the emotional support they provide to all of our clients.

The hours are very flexible and volunteers can sign up for requested rides when they have time - we just ask that our volunteers pick up at least four hours a month.
