UT Believes in Free is an organization fair with free food and activities, and speakers from Legacy House, Redeemed Ministries, and Allies Against Slavery. The purpose is to raise awareness about how other issues like poverty, racism, sexism, and more play into human trafficking, and to connect students to UT and Austin organizations that deal with those issues or with human trafficking specifically.
UT Believes in Free is part of a larger annual campaign called Free Austin, organized by Allies Against Slavery. Free Austin features a week of diverse events hosted by Austin organizations, in order to engage the community in finding solutions to slavery in Austin.
