In an effort to encourage the spirit of kids helping kids, we are once again inviting area schools to participate in the Coats for Kids School Coat Drive Competitions. Each year, high schools compete with high schools, middle schools with middle schools, elementary schools with elementary schools and private schools with private schools to see which schools can donate the greatest number of coats for the Coats for Kids program. Coats for Kids is a perfect opportunity for students to complete a community service project and help make a difference in the community.
Donate unused coats to any of the Jack Brown Cleaners: http://www.jackbrowncleaners.com/locations/
Schools are responsible for emailing receipts with official coat donation amounts to the Coats for Kids office at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than midnight on Friday, December 6, 2013 (receipts are provided by each Jack Brown location). The winner in each school category will receive special recognition.
Ideas for a Successful Coat Drive:
- Organize a campus competition between home rooms, grade levels, classes, extra-curricular groups, PTA, Booster Clubs and athletic teams--just to name a few!
- Donate coats from the school lost and found.
- Coordinate a class or school service project to purchase new coats.
