About

Help make CU Football games zero waste. CU has the oldest colliegiate recycling program in the nation and the first zero waste athletics in the NCAA. There are several different shifts we are looking to fill on Saturday 9/24:

  • Friday night set up
    • Bring supplies from campus recycling center to stadium
    • Set up tailgates
    • Setup bins around the stadium
  • Franklin Field Set Up and Vendor Trainings 7:00am-11:00am
    • Setup bins around the stadium
    • Top sort and buss Franklin, gates and other tailgate areas
    • Pickup litter and help with overflowing stations
    • Breakdown Franklin stations
  • Tailgate Bag Handout and Franklin Field Staffing 10:00am-7:00pm
    • Top sort and buss Franklin, gates and other tailgate areas
    • Pickup litter and help with overflowing stations
    • Breakdown Franklin stations
    • Handout recycling bags to tailgaters on campus
  • Post Game Sort 4:00pm-9:00pm
    • Pickup supplies and stations
    • Organize and sort all waste from game
    • Move all supplies back to ROC

Details for the game:

-Pay will be at a special "Event pay rate" of $18/hour (for those whose E-Center payrate is normally $15 - $16.75) or $20/hour (for those whose E-Center payrate is normally $17 or higher). 

- Meeting location for all shifts: On Colorado St., South East corner of the stadium, outside of main stadium, between ticket booth and Franklin Field

- Wear your CU Recycling staff shirt or a shirt that can get very dirty. (We will have shirts if you don't have one or need another)

- MUST WEAR “closed-toed” shoes (no sandals, flip flops, etc)

- Please bring adequate clothing for warm or cold weather, also wear items that can get dirty or stained

- Bring snacks, water and sunscreen, shifts will last 4-6 hours depending on the game

- You will receive a staff badge to get into the game and a meal. If you would like to watch the game, text Angie at 303.506.7892 or Robin at 720.670.8866 and we can meet outside the stadium prior to kickoff.
