Geaux BIG Baton Rouge

Geaux BIG Baton Rouge is a one-day event that unites LSU students and Baton Rouge residents through service to strengthen the university’s relationship with the community. Our volunteer efforts seek to focus on real needs by working on projects identified by Baton Rouge residents in areas including Old South Baton Rouge, Mid-City, and North Baton Rouge.

Requirement Details
After you check-in, please find your team leader on the parade grounds. If you are an individual, you will be directed to your worksite following the opening ceremony.

What to bring to Geaux BIG: Please bring your LSU Tiger Card, and snacks in case you get hungry. Bring Sunscreen and bug spray in case you are at a site working outside.

What to Wear: We suggest wearing clothing that can get dirty if your job site requires painting, yard work, or cleaning. Make sure to wear closed toed shoes.
Free Food: Lunch will be provided on the Parade Grounds for all volunteers following the event. Lunch will be served from 12pm-2pm

These lots will be available for volunteers: Law School lot, Pleasant Hall lot, Coates hall lot, Barnes & Noble Parking Garage, Thomas Boyd lot.
