Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta

Open Opportunity

You are the difference.

Impact Your Community –
As a volunteer, you not only make a positive impact on
the girls in your community; you show them the limitless possibilities ahead of them. What
begins with speaking up at a troop meeting can go all the way to speaking in front of their
city council for a cause they champion, and they’ll have your support to thank for that.

Gain Skills –
Yes, as a volunteer you’ll help your girls learn new skills that will last
a lifetime, but did you know you will, too? You can hone your leadership style, practice
communication and organization, or find a new passion for STEM or the outdoors. You’ll get
in touch with a side of yourself you never knew you had and add something to your resume in
the process!

Create Memories –
Imagine the smiles, excitement, and memories made as you
introduce girls to unique and rewarding experiences—those are the moments you’ll share at
Girl Scouts.

Network –
You’ll meet other volunteers who are also passionate about your interests. In
addition to being parents or dedicated members of our Movement, our volunteers come from
diverse backgrounds and are connected members of their communities.

Be a Role Model –
With you as a volunteer, girls learn to be true to themselves, make
strides towards their dreams, and share in fun-filled activities they’ll remember for a lifetime.
You’ll gain a sense of empowerment as you help mold the next generation of leaders.

We’ve got your back.
As a Girl Scout volunteer, you’ll have access to classes and resources to help guide
you along your journey. Our team of experts are here to support you as you support our
girls, providing in-person and virtual trainings, age-appropriate troop meeting plans, conversation
guides, program box and badge kits and so much more. We’ll make sure you understand everything
from Girl Scout traditions to the Girl Scout Cookie Program.

There’s no one “type” of volunteer.
You don’t have to be a mom or even have a girl in the
program to volunteer with Girl Scouts! Whether you’re
a recent college grad, an extended family member, or a
retiree, you can make an impact. In fact, we welcome
people of any gender with a sense of passion and
adventure who are 18 or older and have passed our
council’s screening process.
