About
We have received a generous donation of a shade structure from Smee + Busby Architects that we will be using as a learning center and a rainwater harvesting system. The structure is currently constructed near the firm's office and needs to be disassembled and loaded onto a truck for transport to Pond Gap. Once there, we will unload the structure. A later volunteer date will work on reassembling the structure on-site.
This will involve using various hand and power tools as well as lots of teamwork. If you are proficient with tools or would like to learn a new skill, we'd love to have you!
Requirements: Please park in the lower parking lot closest to Hollywood Drive! You should also wear clothes that you can get dirty, closed-toed shoes, and bring a water bottle and sun protection. Unfortunately there will be no restroom readily accessible on-site, so please plan accordingly (there is a nearby Kroger that can be used if needed). Thank you!
