Planetarium Volunteer Requirements
Volunteers will welcome guests to the planetarium, check tickets for shows, help with accommodations
for guests, assist with entering and exiting the planetarium, and help maintain the planetarium between
Volunteers are needed Wednesday- Sunday, 10:30-1:30 and 1:15-4:30.
Number of Volunteers: 1 volunteer per shift
Time commitment: 3 months for 1 or more days a week
Training: 10-12 hours with volunteer manager, planetarium staff, security staff
- Set up a volunteer interview to determine if this would be a good fit for the volunteer and the MoSH.
- If they are over 18, MoSH will run a background check and will pay for it). Check the 2 references.
- If everything is okay from the background check and references, training sessions and volunteer days and hours will be set up.
- Certificates are given if needed.
Your registration will hold the spot for your desired schedule. Your registration will be confirmed only after completing the selection requirements as outline above. You will receive an email from Janie Best-Paraham, Manager - Volunteer Services within 5 business days to initiate the selection process.
