MLK Day of Service 2023 - Burditt Prairie Cemetery

Every year American YouthWorks’ Conservation Corps and YouthBuild Austin partner programs serve the Austin community by beautifying Austin’s historic Burditt Prairie Cemetery, the final resting place of former slaves and emancipated African Americans and their descendants. Through trail maintenance, clearance, and beautification of the Burditt Prairie Cemetery and the adjacent Montopolis Greenbelt, we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through continued service to our Austin neighbors and their families.
