Helping Shelter Dogs

If you register and it shows up on your Give Pulsa schedule you have been approved and you do not need to contact us. IF you cancel right before your shift any future shifts will be declined. We depend on volunteers and when you are unreliable our animals and other volunteers suffer. Please allow 48 hours notice with cancellations. 

Your approval will come from Give Pulse. If you register and are declined we probably have too many volunteers scheduled already please try another shift. 

 If you are waiting to be approved for a shift and the shift is in less then 12 hours please text me and check. sometimes my work schedule prevents me getting requests approved on time. you may  TEXT SHAUNDA 918-852-6989. Identify yourself and the shift you are inquiring about. 

We have opportunities 7 days a week.

Mornings starting at 8 am and lasting 2 to 3 hours.

Evenings starting at 4 pm and lasting 2 to 3 hours.

When you show up for your shift please be patient if we don't answer the door right away- keep knocking. The door bell only rings a phone of a person who is not there so ring it as a last resort. If you are waiting more than 10 minutes please text 918-852-6989. Please don't come early- we are usually there right on time. If there are no cars in front of the builiding, no one is there yet. 

Please stay off of your phone. If you are not showing proper work ethic or doing anything a senior volunteer believes to be unsafe you wiil be asked to leave and will not get credit. 

There is a clip board on the table to the left of the door. Please sign in when you arrive. 

Inside the building please shut all doors behind you, and when you leave the main door make sure you lock it behind you as well. 

This is a wonderful opportunity to helpTulsa's dogs in need!

Important tasks at our shelter include:

• playing with dogs and socializing them
• cleaning kennels and play yards
• washing their bedding
• feeding and watering
• fundraising
• organizing

We have opportunities for everyone! Come make new friends- both K9 and human!

Please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty, shoes that won't slip and please stay off of your phone during your shift.
