Teach youth the basics of youth basketball, soccer, volleyball, flag football, or one of the many other sports Pullman Parks and Recreation has to offer! Coaches are responsible for the practice planning, communication with team members and parents/guardians, as well as overall supervision, well-being, and safety of team members.
Spring Session 1 Sports start January 17 with Basketball and Futsal. Session 2 sports start March 20 with Volleyball, Soccer, Basketball, and Flag Football. Coaches' trainings are conducted in the two weeks prior to the season starting.
Each sport has a variety of practice times after school hours/evenings with games on weekday evenings or Saturday mornings. Please contact Recreation Supervisor DJ Mackie (509) 338-3225 for specific sports schedules or any questions.
Students are required to fill out a City of Pullman Youth Sports Coach Volunteer application online at https://wa-pullman.civicplushrms.com/Careers/. Once completed and received by Parks & Recreation, you may be contacted for an interview. Upon hiring, you will be required to pass a background check and be required to attend 2 days of youth sports training(policies and procedures and sports specific) as well as online NAYS Coaches Training.
