Mardi Gras River Parade & Festival

Hi there!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Visit San Antonio - River Walk Operations. 

Event Location & Address: La Villita Historic Arts Village, Villita Street, San Antonio, TX 78205

Directions: Check-in is located in the Cos House (Arneson River Theatre entrance).

Recommended Parking: Parking is available along the streets around La Villita. Be sure to follow rules of street signs. We highly encourage carpooling, ride-share, or public transportation. Suggested parking lot options will be included as a separate attachment.

Volunteer Shifts:

Saturday, February 18, 11:30 - 3:30 PM (A Shift)

Saturday, February 18, 3:00 – 7:00 PM (B Shift)

Volunteer Duties:

Setup & Energy Producers – (A Shift)

Bead Distribution – (A & B Shifts)

Tear down & Energy Producers – (B Shift)

Attire: If you belong to a corporate volunteer group, please feel free to wear your company shirt. We encourage themed attire for Mardi Gras Festival to include beads, masks, hats or any colorful costumes that would enhance the theme.

Important Things to Note:

· Please check weather and dress accordingly.

· Be Flexible, your original assigned duty might be changed day of the event depending on the need of staff.

· Wear comfortable shoes as you will be standing majority of the time.

· Snacks and water will be provided.

· Please notify me if you think you will be arriving late or cannot attend.

· Lastly have fun!
