About
We're back for another weekly installment of FNL! Join Campus Sustainability for Friday Night Lights, which is BGSU's "lights out" energy savings program created by students for students! Most Friday nights during the semester, students gather, are divided into teams and provided with data sheets and cool "high visibility" vests, and launch out to various university buildings to turn off lights that would otherwise be left on over the weekend. Shutting off lights saves money and lowers our carbon footprint and emissions. Because the majority of our electricity is derived from coal fired power plants (creating harmful carbon-based emissions into the atmosphere), when we shut off lights, we reduce pollution! It's a fun, productive, and relatively short service project we think you'll enjoy! If your registration is accepted, you will meet us outside the Union theater on the second floor, near room 207 no later than 6:30pm on Friday! Teams will roll out after a short debriefing at that time so don't be late!
