The Georgia Miss Amazing Event takes specific elements of pageantry such as sisterhood, performance, and ambassadorship, and extends them to girls and women with disabilities through a nationwide event circuit and leadership program. We work to provide an environment for young girls and women with disabilities that inspires confidence and builds self- esteem.
For our 2023 event, at Magnolia Ballroom on March 25th, we are looking for volunteers to serve as Buddies, Helping Hands (work behind the scenes or hair/makeup, etc.), or as Right-Hand Men. As a Buddy, you’ll be paired up with a participant and act as her official Miss Amazing guide. She could turn out to be one of your most supportive lifelong friends! Helping Hands are volunteers that hop in to help with behind-the-scenes odds and ends. Tell us about your interests and availability in the application and we’ll find the perfect position for you! Finally, Right-Hand Men are responsible for accompanying and supporting the participants as they present themselves in their evening wear. They will also be a support system for our participants throughout the day by cheering our participants on and spending time getting to know them. Lunch and T-shirts are provided to all volunteers.

Miss Amazing relies on the support of volunteers and sponsors who donate their time and skills to make a successful event. Thank you for helping us to continue to work towards creating a cultural force that dispels stereotypes of women with disabilities and to actualize our vision of a world that values and invests in the contributions and strengths of women with disabilities.
