About
Join Keep Walnut Creek Wild and TreeFolks Young Professionals to learn how volunteers can stop glossy privet (Ligustrum lucidum) in its tracks and recover the woods for native plants.
Our workshop will be just inside the off-leash area at the very north edge of Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park. We will check the status of trees girdled last April and then girdle a few ourselves.
We will be working in the woods, so long pants and sturdy shoes are a must. My scratched-up arms also tell me that I should wear long sleeves. (I might. 😏)
