About
The West Broad Farmers Market is a community-driven, education-oriented, weekly farmers market that supports local economic development & community wellness. We are seeking volunteers to assist with set-up, breakdown, and educational programming so WBFM can continue to be an effective community resource.
Tasks include setting and breaking down tables, chairs, and vendor booths, and assisting at the Welcome booth and farmer co-op table.

Please note: If you are under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must sign the waiver along with you.
*Please note: While Athens Land Trust welcomes all volunteers, we are unable to sign off on court-appointed community service hours.

Please wear close-toed shoes, comfortable clothes, and bring a water bottle, and any sun protection you may need (eg. hat, sunglasses, sunscreen).

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
- Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
- Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.
If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
Parking Details
Our farmers market is located in the West Broad neighborhood at the Athens Housing Authority (300 S. Rocksprings Street, Athens, GA 30606) across from the Clarke Central High School sports complex.
The market can be accessed from the Street (S. Rocksprings) or through the adjacent West Broad Community Garden gates on Waddell.
Parking is available in the lot at the Athens Housing Authority, with limited street parking available on Waddell, Henderson Extension, and the surrounding area. Carpooling, walking, biking, and taking public transit are encouraged! Handicapped parking is available in the Housing Authority parking lot on the front right-hand side of the building (facing S. Rocksprings) and in the middle gated lot on the left-hand side of the building (along Henderson Extension).
