About

Since 1993, Angelwood has been serving children, adults, seniors, and families living with intellectual and developmental differences such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and Spina Bifida. Over the years, Angelwood's mission of care has been developed in response to community needs. dignity and respect are our hallmarks as we offer services across the greater Jacksonville community.

Angelwood provides support to more than 300 individuals and their families through the following services:

  • Residential Group Homes
  • Respite Services
  • Summer Day Camp
  • Adult Day Training Program
  • Supported Employment
  • Behavior Services
  • And More!

Here at Angelwood, we are so fortunate to have tremendous volunteer support throughout the year. We welcome you to become a part of Angelwood through several group or individual service projects.

Our current volunteer needs change on a month-to-month basis, be we welcome any number of volunteers at any time. Volunteers working directly with clients for over 10 hours a month must complete a Level 2 Background Screening. Additional trainings will be given to volunteers working directly with clients as needed.

Not sure where to start? Here are some ways you can volunteer:

  • Come to our Adult Day Training program and work on projects with our folks 
  • Join our Angelwood Community Explorers on a fun outing to explore North Florida
  • Volunteer for our Parents' Night Out program
  • Participate in a seasonal mailing and create cards to send to our residential clients
  • Participate in a fundraising event
  • Host a drive at your place of work, school, church, or business
  • Become a "buddy" during our Summer Camp
  • Assist with office tasks
  • Participate in a workday doing maintenance, painting, and home upkeep 
  • Host a social for our clients to attend
  • Teach a class at our Adult Day Training program
  • And So Much More!

Requirement Details
