About
We are excited to announce that we will are traveling to Duchess County, NY to help an animal shelter create a safe space for victims of domestic violence. We need your help to complete the renovation! Our project includes creating a visitation room inside for people and pets to hang out together as well as creating new play yards for pets to play! We're making some giant play yards and there are tons of other small projects to do along the way
The volunteer dates for the first phase will select dates between May 9-23. The address is the Dutchess County SPCA and it will be released to you directly.
The nature of the work we will be doing will vary, but here are some of the tasks to be expected:
- Room Demo
- Flooring Demo
- Patching drywall
- Sanding and painting walls
- Digging fence post holes
- Hanging chain link fence
- Installing sod
- Cleaning and painting tires for enrichment
- Assembling furniture
No construction experience is necessary; Rescue Rebuild is more than happy to teach you all you will need to know! We've got the tools and safety equipment, plus, we'll be providing drinks and lunches!
