The Care Communities provides volunteer Care Teams for persons living with HIV/AIDS or cancer. The Care Team consists of three to six persons matched with a client and providing practical and emotional support, such as running errands, transportation to medical appoints, food bank, grocery store, yard work, companionship, etc. From each volunteer we ask four hours a month.
To prepare to be part of a Care Team, we conduct a volunteer training. Our upcoming trainings are Saturday September 10, 2016 from 9:30am – 12:30pm & Thursday September 22, 2016 1pm-4pm here at our offices, (One Highland Center) 314 E. Highland Mall Blvd Suite 495 Austin TX 78752.
To RSVP, e-mail Mindy Spyker at firstname.lastname@example.org.
