Help Winslow celebrate Arbor Day by joining us to plant native tree seedlings in Tunnel Park! Volunteers removed kudzu tubers from a hillside at the park in December and prepped the area to be replanted in oaks, hickories, and other native tree species. Now it's time to plant and reclaim this area for the forest! The Winslow Community Development Council will hand out free native tree seedlings to Winslow-area residents, and at 11:00, Mayor Jarnagan will read an Arbor Day Proclamation. Tunnel Park is located across from 254 Main Street in Winslow. Training, tools, gloves, and drinks will be provided. For more information and to volunteer, please contact John at 479-750-8007 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
