Shelby Farms Park and Greenline are managed and operated by the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization Shelby Farms Park Conservancy. Our vision is to give rise to a celebrated 21st century park that defines and shapes a great city.

Title: Greenline Gardens Intern

Supervisor: Monique Stitts, Programs Coordinator

Requirements and Qualifications:

Have an interest in working within the non-profit sector

Have an interest in working with children and education

Have an interest in gardening

Demonstrate great attitude, written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities will include:   

Hands-on gardening

Facilitate and educate volunteer youth and adult groups

Create education curriculum

Assist in grant research

Work closely with MCS partners

Create templates for tracking of food production for MCS

Events and Programs department support

Accompany staff on relevant meetings

Attend company-wide meetings

Hours and duration of internship: As assigned by University requirements; Minimum of 15 hours per week

This internship will take place from end of May to the beginning of August - exact schedules will be determined between intern and supervisor.
