About
Celebrate the weekend with a couple of hours of volunteer work picking up trash along the trail and in the park OR helping control invasive plants while enjoying a nature trail with water features. We'll provide a few pick up tools and trash bags and some flimsy gloves. You are encouraged to bring your own gloves, dress for trail work (hat, pants, sturdy closed-toed shoes, long sleeves, maybe bug spray and/or sunscreen), and bring pick up tools and trash bags if you have them. Bring your own water and snacks. Okay to volunteer for a shorter time frame if you want/need to, any trash pick up helps and you'll be able to enjoy the trail and get some exercise while you are doing good.
We will meet at the Blakeney pond trail entrance and get started right at 9 AM, so plan to arrive a few minutes early (but if you are late, we'll still set you up to help us get some trash).
Got questions? message me in Give Pulse.
If you have an interest in invasive plant work, please send me a message in Give Pulse, as we have a Community Activated Park Project on file and welcome help after some focused orientation/training. We WILL have 2 trained experts to lead work on invasive plants during this event.
Please follow community Covid 19 recommendations. Under 18 should be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Our work will help fulfill our Friends of Copperfield Nature Trails Adopt a Creek agreement with Keep Austin Beautiful. Happy Trails!
