“NWA Food Bank and Tyson Foods are teaming up again this year for the annual “Lift up America” event in conjunction with the University of Arkansas Athletic Department. The event will be held at the Jerry & Jean Jones Student Athletic Building in Lot #55 Fayetteville, AR this year due to construction at the football stadium. We would like the participating agencies to check in at the sight between 8:00 and 8:30 A.M. on Saturday March 11, 2017. Please make note this is an earlier start time than in years past. The press conference will be held at 9:00 A.M. followed by the distribution of the free product.
What we need from each participating agency is an email with the total pounds of meat product you would like to have. We will try to honor your request as best we can. The total amount of chicken or Hillshire meats available will be around 30,000 pounds so be reasonable in your request. Your request to participate needs to be back to me no later than Wednesday, March 1st. Please send the emails to Gerald.firstname.lastname@example.org with Lift up America in the subject line in order to reserve your portion. If you have any questions please call 479-872-8774 and ask for Gerald. We will hand out cards when you check in to put on the dashboard of your vehicle with the total poundage allotted to your agency. You will then form lines to be loaded. After you get your vehicles in line please come back in for the press conference. Most of you have participated in this event in the past, if you haven't and you need more information just give me a call.”
