Join the Carpenter Art Garden every Tuesday year round in our outdoor art classroom! Children and adults from the neighborhood are invited to stop by the Art Garden after school to work on take home art projects or permanent art installations. We see approximately 50 children during this time. Most students attend Cornerstone Prep (elementary) or Lester Prep (middle school) in Binghampton.
Volunteers are asked to assist and guide students to completing the art projects. Volunteers may also be asked to: supervise students playing at the art garden, read a book to a student, etc. This is a time to unwind after the school day, be creative and work on art projects, and build relationships with community members.
Volunteers need to arrive by 3pm to set up and learn their role for the afternoon. All volunteers must complete the child safe policy when they arrive to volunteer.
***If you would like to sign up to help with providing snack, juice, or a project for the afternoon, please contact Megan Banaszek at firstname.lastname@example.org***
