DNR Oyster Bed Construction

Friday, May 19th, 2017 from 8:00am to 10:30am (ET)

Take part in oyster bed reconstruction with DNR at the shoreline. We will be meeting at the Wappoo Cut Boating Landing on May 19th @ 8:30am, as tides will vary, this will be the best time to access and build the oyster beds. The event will begin with a 10 minute discussion on oyster biology and ecology. After the talk, we will unload a trailer of SCORE bags into out barge. Then, we take a boat ride to the reef construction site, where we will offload the bags onto the shoreline and form the reef.
