This training will be taught online via Zoom Conference from 1 pm until 5 pm on Friday, October 27 and from 9 am until 5 pm on Saturday, October 28. A zoom link will be sent the week of the training to those who sign up for the course.
This training is open to those interested in serving in chaplaincy ministry and is an introduction to the chaplain ministry. The training will deal with the ministry of chaplaincy, calling to ministry, improving listening and communication skills, relationships and ministry, ministering to the sick and dying, cultural and religious sensitivity, age appropriate care, getting additional help, personal resiliency, ethical standards, and finding a place to serve.
This training can be applied towards completion of the Chaplaincy Certificate program at Truett Theological Seminary.
