This has ended. If you attended, let the organizer know by recording your Impact!

Join the Red Line Parkway Initiative for Keep Austin Beautiful Day, a city-wide day of service spanning sites across the greater Austin area. We will meet on April 20, 9–11am, at Airport Blvd. and Guadalupe St. to pick up litter from the Red Line Trail (a.k.a. Red Line Parkway) and Waller Creek between Highland Station and Crestview Station.

This is an opportunity for folks of all ages to volunteer. We'll have refreshments, gloves, and trash pickers. Many thanks to Keep Austin Beautiful for organizing!

The Red Line Parkway Initiative is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a vibrant trail and linear park along the CapMetro Red Line, connecting Downtown Austin, Cedar Park, and Leander. Some sections, such as this one along Airport Blvd., are already open to the public and enjoyed by neighbors from all walks of life. Our goal is to unite partners and communities to plan, fund, build, and activate dedicated spaces for cyclists and pedestrians along the Parkway. This Parkway will provide car-free transportation options that are accessible to ALL members of the community, while fighting the effects of climate change.

Sponsored by Applied Materials, PeopleForBikes, and Electric Avenue

A NOTE ON SAFETY: With all of our volunteer events, we encourage you to “See and Be Seen!” Be mindful of your fellow volunteers and maintain awareness of your surroundings at all times. Dial 911 in case of emergency.

Please remember to wear close-toed shoes and durable clothing as the terrain may be rough in some areas. Conditions may be wet as volunteers will be working along and within the creek; please dress appropriately! Long pants and a hat are also recommended. Be sure to bring a full water bottle and stay hydrated. For volunteers with limited mobility, it is recommended to stay along main trails and pathways. Areas closer to the creek side may present an additional challenge.
