About

Join a team helping folks with limited access to good food start growing some of what they eat!

Green Corn Project is an Austin non-profit that educates Central Texans on organic vegetable gardening. Come learn how to install and maintain an organic vegetable garden or share your gardening knowledge by working with a team of volunteers to install or replant a garden for an individual or organization with limited access to good, nutritious food.

This is a between season project to clean-up and mulch the garden area at Smith Elementary School. Smith is a Title 1 school in Del Vale and needs some help before summer. Smith has a large garden area, and some soil was misplaced on top of a mulched area creating a lot of muddy shoes for the students working in the garden after a rain. We want to move as much of the soil off of the mulch as we can and then add a layer of new mulch.

We'll meet directly at the school Saturday morning, May 18 at 9 am. We'll send additional information as it get closer
