Volunteers needed for Enchanted Forest Literacy Day at Porter-Leath

We have a volunteer opportunity on Saturday, April 8th with shifts between 8:30 am - 1:30 pm.  Volunteer Tennessee and Miss Tennessee are joining us for a huge Literacy Day and family celebration at our American Way Head Start (4207 American Way, 38118).  See the attached a flyer below with more information.
We need volunteers to assist with distributing free books to the children, serving box lunches, help with face painting, games, petting zoo, and other activities that day for children ages 1 to 13.
Since the theme is "An Enchanted Forest", we are encouraging the children to wear fairy tale attire. We would love for you all to feel free to dress in your favorite fairy tale attire too if you wish!
Thank you for your serve in advance to our Porter-Leath children!
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Volunteers will be both inside and outside that day.
PerksVolunteers that stay from 9:00 am until 1:00pm will receive lunch.
