Description
Amplify Decatur is a concert that takes place on Decatur Square on April 22nd and proceeds benefit Decatur Cooperative Ministries, which helps families facing homelessness. Lucinda Williams is headlining the concert and the rest of the line up is great as well. Volunteers sign up to work an assigned shift through Volunteer Decatur and are welcome to come early or stay late to enjoy the concert while they are not volunteering, so the event is a great mix of volunteering and concert-going fun. Please contact Morgan Perkins at volunteer[at]povertyisreal.us for information about signing up!

Close down is a great shift, because volunteers can check in early and enjoy the majority of the concert before the shift starts. This shift will consist mainly of tasks like breaking down fencing, chair, tables and tents. While the the shift is scheduled until 1am, volunteers will be released as soon as close down is finished, so the more the merrier!
